Duty To Notify On The Establishment Of A New Place Of Employment

Employers are required to report and submit information regarding the establishment of a new place of employment as required under Section 60A, Labor Ordinance (Sarawak Cap. 76) within 90 days from: –

 

(i) the commencement of operations / business;
(ii) the business takeover;
(iii) the change of the name or location of the business.

Informations To Notify On The Establishment Of A New Place Of Employment

For that purpose, the employer is required to provide the following information:

 
  1. Registered name, address and type of business;
  2. Manager’s name or person in charge;
  3. Categories and number of employees employed

Employer is required to notify the Department of Labour Sarawak by giving a notice in writing or by completing the Form JTKSWK60A.

Parties To Notify On The Establishment Of A New Place Of Employment

Any person or employer who proposes:

 

  • To carry on any agricultural, forestry or enterprise or any corporation or where any trade is carried out; or
  • To take over or start a business; or
  • To change the name or location of the employer or corporation.
