Client's Charter

Department of Labour Sarawak pledged to serve well in order to fulfill client's requirement as follows :-

  1. Complaint:
    • Labour complaint will be investigated and resolved within thirty (30) days from the date the complaint is received.
  2. Labour Case:
    • Worker's claim will be enquired into and decision made within ninety (90) days from the date the claim is filed.
  3. Workmen's Compensation
    • To issue assessment :-
      1. Temporary Disablement Cases
        • Assessment shall be issued within fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of complete documents.
      2. Partial Disablement Cases and Permanent Total
        • Assessment shall be issued within fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of complete documents.
      3. Fatal Cases
        • Assessment shall be issued within fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of complete documents.
  4. Licence To Employ Non-Resident Employee Under Section 119 of Labour Ordinance:
    1. Letter of Aprroval in Principle  (AP)
      • To produce Letter of Approval in Principle (AP) decision within fourteen (14) days from the date of localisation committee meeting.
    2. New Licence Under AP and Replacement Licence
      • New Licence and Replacement Licence shall be issued within fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of completed application.
    3. Renewal Licence
      • Renewal Licence shall be issued within fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of completed application.
  5. Labour Permit:
    • Decision for Labour Permit application will be made within twenty eight (28) days from the date of receipt of completed application.
  6. Public Complaints:
    • To give feedback within three (3) working days after receipt of completed complaints.
